The municipality of Ferlach can be reached daily using the Kärntner Linien bus and train.

Coming from Klagenfurt (north), from Monday to Friday you can take the S3 fast train; then you must change in Weizelsdorf and continue by bus to Ferlach. On weekends and public holidays, buses run directly between Klagenfurt and Ferlach or Rosenbach via Ferlach.

Coming from Rosenbach (west), a bus line runs daily via Feistritz im Rosental to Ferlach. On weekdays there is a connection to the suburban train line S3 in Weizelsdorf to Klagenfurt.

Coming from Galicia (east) there are some non-daily bus connections to and from Ferlach.

Coming from Klagenfurt (north), the Loibl pass federal road B91 leads to Kirschentheuer. From there, the Rosentaler federal road B85 branches off eastwards to Ferlach.

Coming from Rosenbach (west) or from the A11 Karawanken motorway, the Rosentaler federal road B85 leads directly to and through Ferlach.

Coming from Galicia (east), the Rosentaler federal road B85 also leads to and through Ferlach.

Coming from Slovenia, the Loibl pass federal road B91 leads directly to Ferlach.

Parking is available in the city, with a short-term parking zone in the city centre. You can park for three hours free of charge in the short-term parking zone. You just need a parking meter or state your arrival time. The parking spaces are well signalled and the short-term parking zone is well marked.

Parking - also for mobile homes (infrastructure available) - is free of charge outside the centre, e.g., in the car park of the exhibition centre.

Ferlach has two cycle paths that intersect in the municipal area of the Drau hydroelectric power station.

Coming from Klagenfurt (north), please take the R7G cycle path (Loibl cycle path). This begins in Klagenfurt and ends at the Tscheppa gorge, via Maria Rain through Ferlach.

Coming from St. Jakob im Rosental (west) or from the Galicia region, use the R1 cycle path (Drau cycle path). This runs along the Drava River and through the entire northern municipal area.
