The Märchenwiese (1157 m above sea level) is not only considered “the most beautiful mountain meadow in Carinthia”, but also one of the most romantic alpine meadows of all. The beauty of this valley is due to its special landscape: a large -almost flat- alpine meadow merges directly into the vertical rock faces of the Karawanken after a narrow, steeply rising forest belt.
